Information about the council
Spire Council 283 was consecrated on 29th June 2022 in the presence of The Deputy Grand Master, R W Bro Clive Robert Manuel, accompanied by many of his active and past Grand Council Officers. These along with officers of the East Midland District and representatives of many other Districts from both UK and abroad brought our new Council into existence.
Our current District Grand Superintendent Worshipful Brother S G Barratt was installed as the Spire Councils first Worshipful Master and immediately proposed the Consecrating Officer and his assistants become our honorary members. This was seconded and approved to rapturous applause. Followed, with delight, the proposal of several joining members and candidates to the order.
Spire Allied Council proudly joins the variety of other excellent Masonic Orders which already meet in the Chesterfield Masonic Hall, and offers a unique history and ensemble of degrees to brethren and companions who wish to enhance and extend their Masonic Knowledge.
Based in the fine market town of Chesterfield north Derbyshire uniquely allows Spire to attract and welcome brethren from the neighbouring Districts of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire to travel shorter distances and enjoy the distinctive feature of progression at any council.
